Writing Examples

In English Year Six have been drafting, revising and publishing their own short stories. Within the narrative text type and drawing upon his wider reading of A Giant's Necklace by Michael Morpurgo and Letters from The Lighthouse by Emma Carroll, one of our pupils have produced their own short story. Set upon a beach in which the main character becomes trapped, they have resolved the problem and taught their reader a valuable life lesson.
